Moon Mosquito 1.0 Back - This is not just another mosquito net
It is a well-thought-out protection system for the rear of your van. It protects against insects, reduces heat loss, and lets you use your van exactly the way we all like it: with the doors open, a beautiful view, fresh air, and peace inside.
Anyone who travels in a campervan, sleeps by the water, or spends time in the forest knows this problem. Mosquitoes, flies, and other insects can ruin even the best evening.
We cannot control insects in nature. But we can control whether they get into your van.
Moon Mosquito Net is a rear mosquito net integrated with a thermal cover. A solution created for people who want to use their vehicle all year round, from spring to winter.
What is Moon Mosquito Net made of?
From materials designed to work in a van, not just look good in photos.
The base is made from waterproof, industrial-grade PVC fabric. Inside, there is a special thermal layer, and the whole piece is quilted with durable nylon threads.
This solution gives you the stability, resistance, and durability you need in a vehicle that is actually used.
On the road. In the forest. By the water. In winter and summer.
Mosquito net and YKK zipper
The mosquito net is mounted on a YKK zipper.
It is the same standard used in outdoor gear and expedition tents. The zipper has to work reliably, because in a campervan it will be used constantly: in the morning, in the evening, in the rain, in dust, and in a hurry.
Hundreds of openings and closings. No need to handle it gently. It simply works.
Thermal covers
They use ONDUTERM insulation sewn into our signature PVC fabric. The insulation is fully removable, so you can adapt the system to the season and the way you use your vehicle.
When you need more thermal protection, you install it. When airflow and lightness matter more, you can remove it.
Practical magnets
We used around 18 neodymium magnets in the thermal covers, allowing them to fold like an accordion in one movement.
Open it quickly. Close it quickly.
No pulling cords, no roller-blind cassettes, no random hacks.
A simple solution that makes a big difference in everyday van use.
You can use Moon Mosquito 1.0 Back in many ways
One system, different configurations — depending on what you need at the moment.

Full access to the outside - Unclip the two blinds from the snaps and put them away. Open the mosquito-net zipper. You get a clear view, full light, and direct access to the window. Perfect for driving when you do not need any protection.
2.
Ventilation without insects - The upper thermal blind is removed or secured on the elastic at the top. The lower blind is rolled down. The mosquito net is closed with the YKK zipper. Air flows freely, insects stay outside. The classic setup for a summer evening.
3.
Full insulation - The thermal blind is fully deployed. Maximum thermal barrier, blackout, and noise reduction. The setup for a winter night or city parking.
All Moon system products can be ordered in the same color scheme and finish, so you can plan a consistent interior for your van.
Note: Rivet nuts and mounting magnets are not included in the set. We recommend M5 or M6 rivet nuts and matching screws.
Required tools: drill, rivet-nut tool, screwdriver or screw gun, marker.
Install the mosquito net in around 2 hours
Moon Mosquito Net was designed so that installation is possible without specialist equipment or workshop facilities.
1. First, stretch the mosquito net from the inside of the vehicle, over the rear body pressing, and stabilize it with magnets so you can easily mark the mounting points.
The mosquito net has several mounting points, but in your vehicle you will use only the ones that best match its specific configuration.
2. After positioning the mosquito net, mark the outer upper holes, drill them, insert the rivet nuts, and screw the mosquito net to the vehicle.
3. Then transfer the remaining mounting points so that the entire structure is tensioned as much as possible.
4. Finally, remove the mosquito net, drill the remaining holes, insert the rivet nuts, and complete the final installation.
Simple. Logical. No surprises.
The entire installation should take no more than around 2 hours.

After years of intensive use, they still hold their shape, still close properly, and still do their job. Moon Mosquito 1.0 Back is sewn in exactly the same way. The same materials, the same standards, the same seamstress, the same quality control. We make things that will travel with you for thousands of kilometres.
Convenient parking position for the thermal section
For fastening the thermal section, we used a proven solution: an elastic cord and hooks inspired by the system used in mountain boots.
This makes attaching and removing the cover quick, comfortable, and intuitive. You do not have to force anything into place. Just hook it, tension it, and done.
We know how real campervans work, and we know that the space near the ceiling is usually already taken.
In many vehicles, the rear area already has overhead cabinets, Moon Boxes, or other interior elements. If the thermal cover were positioned on the inside, pulling it up, rolling it, or removing it could simply be inconvenient.
That is why we designed it differently.
Why is the thermal section on the outside?
In summer, most people mainly use the mosquito net. The thermal cover does not need to be used every day. In autumn and winter, however, it can stay mounted almost permanently, protecting the interior from cooling down.
And if you need to roll the cover up or down from the inside, you can do that too. Just unzip the insect screen. It is not the most comfortable way to operate it, but it lets you do it without leaving the vehicle.

Why does the lower cover protect only the inside of the garage area?
Because it does not have to. And that is exactly the point.
In many conversions, the rear of the vehicle includes water fillers, electrical connections, technical installations, outdoor showers, or other service elements. If the cover protected the entire door area, access to them would be much more difficult.
Our solution protects the garage space against heat loss and insects, but does not block the things you need quick access to.
