Moon Box IO is an ultra-light, suspended aluminium cabinet designed for campervans and houseboats. Available in four standard sizes and four signature Moon Kitchen colours, its frame is crafted from a high-strength aluminium alloy that resists fatigue cracking. The lightweight structure with elegant European oak-veneer plywood doors brings modern design to any interior. Assembled with aerospace-grade, double-flat rivets and finished with a specialist powder coat applied by electrostatic spraying, it delivers a flawlessly smooth surface with exceptional scratch resistance.

You can install Moon Box IO in two ways: using rivet nuts or the Moon Fix Bolt A (for Airline rails) or Bolt B (for Moon Frame 2.0). The enlarged mounting holes provide extra adjustment range and speed up installation.

For those who need even more options, we offer an optional MOLLE system. Available with built-in lighting (red and white), the MOLLE system allows you to easily strap on additional camping accessories, increasing the functionality of the Moon Box IO.
We have integrated a bespoke MOLLE system into Moon Box IO. Instead of conventional nylon straps, we use an aluminium grid securely riveted underneath the box. This offers outstanding strength and lightness while creating a versatile platform for attaching various accessories and tools. The included LED lighting (white and red) provides extra illumination. It’s the perfect solution for campervan enthusiasts seeking practical, durable storage.

Travel, don’t build—Moon Box IO features a quick‐release mounting system. Choose between mounting on Moon Frame accessories with rivet nuts or on the Airline system with Moon Fix feet and a butterfly screw. Installation and removal take mere moments, giving you flexibility in space arrangement.
No matter which Moon Box model you have, the mounting methods are always the same. All Moon Boxes feature mounting holes at the same height, so Moon Box IO fits pre-installed points effortlessly. It’s ready to use straight out of the box, delivering stability and functionality on long journeys.
The Moon Box Family
The Moon Box Titan perfectly complements the Tebe and IO models, using the same single-rail mounting system. Although the Titan is about 20% taller than the IO and Tebe, all variants share consistent depth and Van der Moon aesthetics. Titan offers exceptional capacity and premium features like elastic mesh pockets, YKK zippers, and quick-access parking latches. Each Moon Box model retains our signature rugged aluminium construction. Choose Titan for maximum volume without compromising functionality, and IO or Tebe where compact size matters.

How do I mount a Moon Box?
Each Moon Box is mounted in four points—two on the top panel and two on the rear. We recommend two methods: use a butterfly screw into a rivet nut secured in your vehicle’s body or Moon Frame crossbar, or slide in our Moon Fix accessory into the Moon Frame 2.0 or Airline rail.
I don’t have mounting points where I want to hang the Moon Box—what should I do?
We recommend using our body reinforcement accessories—Moon Frame and Moon Frame 2.0. These crossbars provide additional mounting points.
How do I know which Moon Box will fit my vehicle?
When purchasing on our website, we ask for your vehicle make and model; the configurator automatically selects the right boxes.

To minimise weight, we have omitted the back panel from our furniture, and it cannot be manufactured as a custom option.
