Moon SAO is a modular box system available in eight widths – 25, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 cm. Sizes 25, 40, 50 and 65 can be ordered with an integrated MOLLE grid and lighting.
Moon SAO is an ultra-durable modular organiser system for campervans, workshops and service vehicles. Its body is made from 1.5 mm aluminium sheet laser-cut to a ±0.1 mm tolerance. The alloy used shows no tendency to fatigue cracking even under heavy use. A 5 mm elastic expander cord with blockers and stoppers secures loads of various shapes during transport. The whole unit is assembled with flat rivets used in the aerospace industry and finished with a specialised powder-coat applied by electrostatic spraying.

Easy installation
You can mount the Moon Box SAO in two ways – using rivet nuts or the Moon Fix Bolt A (for Airline tracks) or Bolt B (for Moon Frame 2.0). Enlarged mounting holes increase tolerance and reduce installation time.
MOLLE system with LED lighting
The aluminium MOLLE lattice lets you fasten camping or kitchen essentials quickly and securely. It is additionally equipped with white and red LED lighting.
Flat rivets
Double-flat rivets, widely used in aviation, make it much easier to join modules into longer segments. They are completely safe for the luggage inside.
Expander
A high-quality expander cord is a minimalist and reliable solution that offers quick access to the contents while safely holding items in place during travel.
Closed back panel
Unlike the Moon Box IO, the SAO has a fully enclosed back, making it ideal for mounting in a van’s side door.

Every Moon Box SAO comes with two expanders: one colour-matched to the box and another in anthracite. You choose which one to fit.

The Moon Box SAO was designed with maximum lightness and durability in mind. Made from a high-quality specialist aluminium alloy, it offers not only low weight but also exceptional resistance to damage and no tendency to fatigue cracking. We use high-quality rivets employed in the aerospace industry – flat, galvanised steel, guaranteeing exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. Thanks to their flat profile, when you place several Moon Box SAOs side by side, gaps are minimised, creating a uniform surface. The compact cabinet is coated with powder paint applied by electrostatic spraying, which guarantees a smooth, scratch-resistant finish.
Whether you own a large Sprinter, a compact Caddy or plan to install it on your boat – the Moon Box SAO will perform perfectly. Available in eight widths: 25, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 cm, it is easy to adapt to your needs and the available space. Its height of 26.3 cm and depth of 35 cm mean that the Moon Box SAO fits perfectly into gaps and unused spaces that often remain empty in standard conversions. The 25 cm-wide model weighs only 1.7 kg, making installation and relocation child’s play, yet it is so durable that it will probably outlast more than one vehicle! Travel instead of building – the Moon Box is equipped with a quick-mount and quick-release system. You can choose between mounting on Moon Frame accessories with rivet nuts or on an Airline rail using Moon Fix feet with a wing screw. This means installation and removal literally take moments, giving you total freedom in arranging your space.
No matter which Moon Box model you have, the mounting methods are always the same. The mounting holes in all Moon Boxes are located at the same height, so the Moon Box SAO will fit previously prepared mounting points. The Moon Box SAO is ready to use straight out of the box, offering stability and functionality on long journeys.

Moon Box IO is the answer for those who value full closure and protection of the contents. Instead of a practical expander, the IO is fitted with elegant doors made of high-quality HPL – a resin-impregnated composite pressed at 150 °C under 70–100 MPa. The result is an exceptionally durable and attractive surface, resistant to scratches and damage.
Moon Box IO is built on the same chassis but equipped with doors made of elegant and durable HPL. It is available in widths of 25, 40, 50 and 65 cm, in versions with and without the MOLLE system.

FAQ
How to install a Moon Box?
Each Moon Box is mounted at four points: two on the top wall and two on the rear wall. We recommend two mounting methods: with a wing screw screwed into a rivet nut crimped into the vehicle body / Moon Frame crossbars, or with the Moon Fix bracket (our mounting accessory) slid into the Moon Frame 2.0 or Airline rail.
I have no mounting points where I want to hang the Moon Box – what should I do?
We recommend using our Moon Frame and Moon Frame 2.0 body reinforcements. These mounting crossbars give you additional mounting points.
How do I know which Moon Box will fit my vehicle?
When purchasing Moon Boxes on our website we ask for the make and model of your vehicle; the configurator automatically selects the boxes that fit.
